There’s something deeply satisfying about shooting steel. It’s not just the sharp ping that rings out when a round lands—it’s the instant feedback, the rhythm it brings to training, and the confidence it builds with every shot. For both new shooters and seasoned marksmen, steel targets have become more than a tool, they’ve become an essential part of the shooting experience.
Over the past decade, steel target shooting has surged in popularity. Casual shooters appreciate the durability and simplicity: no resetting paper targets, no tape, no downtime. Once a steel target is set up, it can withstand thousands of rounds, especially when made from hardened materials like AR500 steel. If you're looking for targets even more durable...STRIQPOINT has what you're looking for. STRIQPOINT targets contain more Nicle (Ni) making our targets some of the toughest on the market. The experience is efficient, intuitive, and engaging, making it ideal for those looking to maximize their time on the range.
At the same time, competitive shooters and tactical professionals rely on steel for its precision and repeatability. In disciplines like USPSA, IDPA, and 3-Gun, steel targets are used to train for accuracy under pressure, giving shooters immediate confirmation of a hit without having to break their focus. It's this same sense of flow that makes steel so valuable for law enforcement and military training, where live-fire realism and time-based performance matter most.
As more shooters discover the benefits of steel targets, safety and quality become even more important. Not all steel is created equal, and poorly made targets can pose serious risks. At STRIQPOINT, we’ve built our brand around QT-PLUS steel (tougher than AR500) expert design, and an unwavering focus on shooter safety. Whether you’re just getting started or upgrading your gear, we invite you to explore what sets us apart on our FAQ page, or review our Safety Policy to learn how to shoot smarter, and safer.
Steel shooting is here to stay. It’s practical, fun, and when done right, one of the most rewarding ways to improve your skills. We’re proud to help shooters of all experience levels get the most out of it.
